Bullet Point Catch Up Time

Since I haven't posted again in a while, I'd like to break down a few things in the simplest form possible to get everyone caught up to speed. Since I'm feeling a little bit better lately, I will try my best to make more posts in the new year (but not making any promises). So where to start....

  • December treated me pretty poorly. I'm not going to get into details (as they are more or less on the gross side and as much as I'd like to talk about them, I may save it for another post people may skip if they choose). I think the reduction in prednisone started really taking it's toll on me and weaken my body considerably. Since then we've tapered the reduction even more and it seems to be helping.
  • Even though I felt horrible, I was able to spend time with my family and friends for the holidays. I wish it could have been spent under better circumstances, but I'm glad they were there. Good times and good food.
  • While I do think I'm feeling better, it just seems like each week I trade off one side effect for another. That is to say, as one thing gets better something else crops up. Then the next week it'll be something else entirely. I feel like a roulette wheel.
  • Finally, in the funny department.... I feel like an elderly person. I have my own little pill organizer now (to sort my meds by morning, noon, and night) mainly because it's nice to get everything all lined out at the beginning of the week. Also, I went grocery shopping today and was the only person there I think shopping under the age of 40. On top of that, in my weakened state I had issues getting things bending down to the bottom shelf and moved very slowly. Everyday I'm shufflin'.
Again, I'd hate to bore with little mundane details here and there. Like I said, I may expect more frequent updates as I still want to get everyone caught up on other things dealing with my life and expectations. Just wanted to make sure everyone knew I was still kicking around and not necessarily being lazy this time. But with the holidays and my tiredness this hadn't been the best month for me. So here is to looking forward.
